SAFETY TIPS
NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED
This and a few of other rules will allow you to enjoy your candles
in a safe manner. Children and pets should never be allowed to reach a burning candle. Never place candles
where a flame may come in contact with drapes, lampshades or any item overhead. Always trim the
wick to 1/4" (this is so important and keeps your candle burning better, cleaner and longer). Although you may
be tempted to burn container candles down to the bottom this can be very dangerous. When the candle is nearing the bottom
of the container (after your last burn and you have extinguished the flame) pick the jar up and feel the bottom,
if it is warm then it is time to start a new one. Never allow the candle to burn so low that your container
is hot. Never lift a jar candle by the lid. Some lids fit really tight while others can be somewhat loose.
This is true for all brands of candles so be careful and lift the candle jar from the bottom. You may want to post a
sign so your customers are aware. Even
though UV additives have been added to the wax during the candle making process, colors will fade over a period of time. Some colors fade more than others. Always
keep your candles out of direct sun. And try to keep candles protected from too
much lighting. Keep inventory in a dark cool environment. Even though
some candles may fade over long periods of time, this will not affect the scent or burning stability. You
may wish to save the protective inserts that the candles are shipped in. They will protect them from light, heat and
cold. Share this information with your customers. Follow
